About Climate Action California

We’re a community of individuals, and a coalition of organizations and groups—all working together to hasten the end of the climate crisis.

We are engaged at every level of government—local, regional, state, and federal—advancing science-based climate policy and legislation that will:

  1. Reduce short-lived climate pollutants including methane and refrigerants

  2. Advance clean transportation and transit

  3. Accelerate an equitable, just transition to the low-carbon future we all need

Our theory of change depends on strong, mutually respectful relationships with legislators and regulators, as we advocate for bold and effective action. We track bills, work in coalition to promote our positions, and keep in touch with legislators and agency decision-makers on a wide range of issues from building decarbonization and plastics to energy policy and the budget.

Join us!

Everyone can play a part in tackling climate change — including you! New volunteers are welcome to join our twice-a-month meetings on Zoom, sign up for campaign teams, or help out with the website, events, or fundraising. No special expertise is needed to help keep Climate Action California making a difference!
